Technical Writer

Our flagship product, KanTime, an Enterprise Class solution, comprehensively addresses various Home Health Care needs, encompassing Skilled Care, Pediatric Care, Private Duty, and Hospice. We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation like release notes, internal and external user guides, technical documentation and video tutorials that contribute to the overall success of our products. You will join a team of technical writers who work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.

Responsibilities

• ​Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements,
• ​Review/Edit/Proof Read​ the content developed by writers -- new topics, release notes, online help, use-case based documentation -- regularly during the documentation development cycles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with writers locally and globally to determine correct levels of edits at different phases of documentation development, perform edits, and provide timely feedback.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple writers and releases.

Requirements

• Exceptional written skills with excellent knowledge about English grammar, spelling, and punctuation usage. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines for content that spans across multiple projects and releases.
• ​Previous experience as a technical writer in writing software documentation (Optional).
• Excellent command of standard American English syntax and grammar.
• Preferred experience: DITA and XML authDITAoring tools​ will be an added advantage​.

Qualifications - Experienced

• Bachelors degree in relevant technical field preferably Engineering.
• ​Minimum 2-4 years industry experience as a technical writer, editor, or ​proofreader with a focus on software or workflow applications.
• Experience with content management systems and SEO, working in an Agile content development environment and proven experience in editorial/peer-review.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
• Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
• ​Excellent problem-solving skills; strong logical reasoning and solution-oriented.
