Job Description: Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, a pioneer in redefining healthcare through its ultra-modern upcoming facility with a 1250-bed capacity- 650 functional Bed Capacity, is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacist to contribute to our commitment to excellence. Role & responsibilities
1.Medication Management: •Order, store, and secure drugs and medicines, ensuring an uninterrupted and efficient supply. •Accurately dispense medications based on prescriptions, checking expiry, batch number, and MRP. •Remove expired and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
2.Patient Interaction and Counselling: •Provide information and advice to patients about drugs, including side effects, correct dosage, and proper storage. •Explain prescriptions to patients and convincingly suggest substitutes when necessary. •Collaborate with doctors to inquire about substitute availability for unavailable brands.
3.Operational Excellence: •Maintain a clean pharmacy environment under prescribed temperature conditions. •Strictly adhere to departmental SOPs for all assigned responsibilities. •Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring no discrepancies during the shift.
4.Team Collaboration and Communication: •Collaborate with colleagues across shifts, ensuring commitments to customers are met. •Coordinate with the supervisor for procurement and storage of medications as per daily requirements. •Provide feedback on slow-moving and fast-moving drugs, noting bouncing prescriptions to the Store Manager.
5.Inventory Management: •Maintain correct inventory of stock as per the system stock and assist in quarterly stock audits. •Daily rack-wise verification of fast-moving items.
6.Customer Service and Sales Focus: •Handle inbound calls, focusing on drug information, patient counseling, and free home delivery orders. •Ensure 100% physical stock tally according to category twice a week. •Strive to achieve the sales target of the pharmacy.
7.Additional Responsibilities: •Perform any other duties assigned by the in-charge as per exigencies of work. •Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. •Stay current on developments in the field of pharmacology and medication therapy.
Qualifications and Experience:
1.Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharma) , D-Pharma degree.
2.Minimum 1-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
3.Thorough knowledge of generic and brand names of available drugs.
4.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
5.Familiarity with pharmaceutical software systems.
