Job Title: Draftsman (Biogas Industry)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with technical expertise in the biogas industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts for biogas plant components and systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Drafting:
• Create detailed 2D/3D drawings for biogas plant Process Flow Diagrams, layouts and related components using CAD software.
• Develop schematic diagrams for process flows, equipment arrangements, and piping and instrumentation.
2. Collaboration:
• Work closely with Business Development Technical Team & Engineering teams to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
• Coordinate with project leads, engineers and vendors to ensure design feasibility.
3. Documentation and Standards:
• Maintain and update technical drawings and documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental guidelines in design and layout.
4. Quality Assurance:
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with technical specifications.
• Identify and rectify potential design conflicts or errors before implementation.
5. Innovation and Improvement:
• Provide inputs for optimizing design workflows and improving plant layouts for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated with advancements in drafting tools, biogas technologies, and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Educational Background:
• Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with biogas plant components, process flow diagrams (PFD), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
3. Experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably in the biogas or renewable energy industry.
4. Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
5. Added Advantage:
• Knowledge of design standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations related to biogas plants.
• Knowledge with 3D modelling and simulation software.
