Accounts Manager

Job Summary:

Derby Overseas is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee and manage the companys financial operations at the Jalandhar office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, managing budgets, and leading the accounts team to achieve financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
  
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
• Monitor cash flow, fund allocations, and working capital.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  
• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Track financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
• Compliance & Taxation:
  
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
• Team Leadership:
  
• Supervise and mentor the accounts team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes.
• Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on financial regulations and best practices.
• Reporting & Analysis:
  
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Vendor & Client Coordination:
  
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Negotiate with vendors and service providers to optimize costs.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications like CA, CMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management.
• Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws, GST, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
