Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with over 7 years of experience in test automation, particularly with Selenium, TestNG, and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure software quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement robust testing strategies, ensuring that applications meet business requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Automation Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver and TestNG to validate functionality and performance of applications.
• Build and enhance automated test frameworks for effective testing of web and mobile applications.
• Integrate automation tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
2. Test Strategy and Planning:
• Work with QA teams and product owners to develop test plans and strategies based on business requirements and use cases.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement strategies to optimize testing processes.
• Perform test case reviews and provide recommendations for improving automation coverage.
3. Execution and Maintenance:
• Execute automated test cases, monitor their execution, and report test results.
• Debug and maintain test scripts in response to application changes or failures in automation.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
4. Automation Framework Development:
• Design, implement, and maintain reusable test automation frameworks and libraries to support efficient and scalable testing.
• Implement best practices for creating robust, maintainable, and scalable test automation frameworks.
• Continuously enhance and refactor automation code to improve efficiency and reliability.
5. Collaboration and Mentoring:
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure testing meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior test automation engineers, helping them improve their technical skills and automation practices.
• Review and guide peers on best practices, code quality, and test design techniques.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
• Provide clear, concise reports on testing activities, test results, and defect status to stakeholders.
• Document the test automation approach, framework details, and test execution results for internal and client reference.
• Maintain detailed test scripts and related documentation.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Selenium: Advanced expertise in using Selenium WebDriver for automating web application tests.
• TestNG: Strong experience in using TestNG for test execution and reporting.
• Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java or Python for writing and maintaining test automation scripts.
• CI/CD Integration: Knowledge of integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git for version control and managing test scripts.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting automation test failures.
• Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills with development, QA, and product teams.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile development environments, understanding Agile testing principles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in test automation, with proficiency in Selenium, TestNG, and automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with test case design, execution, and reporting in a CI/CD environment.
• Familiarity with additional tools like Jenkins, Git, and Maven is a plus.
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications is preferred.
• Certifications in test automation (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium) are a plus.
