Job Description:

As a Delivery Solution Architect specializing in Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a focus on AWS technologies, you will design and implement robust, scalable, and cutting-edge solutions leveraging the AWS ecosystem. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams, understanding business needs, and delivering end-to-end data and AI solutions. You will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and ensuring technical excellence in the projects you support.

Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Architecture:

• Engage with stakeholders to gather and translate business and technical requirements into AWS-based data and AI solutions.
• Design end-to-end architectures for data pipelines, analytics platforms, and AI/ML workloads using AWS services.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with AWS best practices.

AWS Platform Expertise:

• Utilize AWS services to build modern data and AI platforms, including but not limited to:
• Data Lakes: Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation
• Data Warehouses: Amazon Redshift
• Data Processing: AWS Glue, Amazon EMR
• AI/ML Services: Amazon SageMaker, AWS AI Services (Comprehend, Rekognition, Lex, etc.)
• Serverless Computing: AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS/Fargate
• Implement and manage IAM policies, VPC configurations, and other security measures.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams during project execution.
• Conduct architectural reviews, ensuring adherence to design principles and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and guide teams to resolution.

Data Engineering and Integration:

• Design and implement ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue, Step Functions, and Lambda.
• Enable seamless integration of data across diverse sources into data lakes or warehouses.
• Utilize AWS Data Migration Service (DMS) for on-premises to cloud data migrations.

AI/ML Implementation:

• Lead the development and deployment of machine learning models using Amazon SageMaker.
• Design pipelines for training, validating, and deploying models in production using MLOps best practices.
• Leverage AWS AI services for natural language processing, image recognition, and other cognitive tasks.

Performance Optimization and Security:

• Optimize AWS infrastructure for cost-efficiency, high availability, and performance.
• Implement security best practices, including encryption (KMS), fine-grained IAM roles, and secure API endpoints.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements like GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 using AWS tools and services.

Documentation and Collaboration:

• Create detailed technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and workflows.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect in data and AI projects using AWS technologies.
• Deep understanding of AWS data services, such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, and Athena.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML services like SageMaker, Rekognition, Comprehend, and Lex.
• Expertise in serverless computing (Lambda, Step Functions) and containerization (ECS, EKS).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other programming languages for data processing and AI/ML workflows.
• Hands-on experience with AWS security best practices, including IAM, KMS, and VPC.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership and mentoring skills to guide teams towards successful project delivery.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
• Relevant certifications such as:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)
• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
