Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst with 5+ years of expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that projects deliver optimal outcomes. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong understanding of business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering and Documentation:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to gather insights.
• Create and maintain comprehensive business requirement documents (BRD) and user stories.

2. Business Process Modeling:

• Analyze, design, and document current and future state business processes using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., BPMN, UML).
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to optimize workflows.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless alignment between processes and business objectives.

3. Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Perform detailed data analysis to support business decisions and project objectives.
• Identify trends, patterns, and insights by working with large data sets and producing actionable reports.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business success.

4. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

• Act as a liaison between business teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Provide ongoing support to stakeholders to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.

5. Solution Design and Implementation Support:

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the requirements are effectively translated into solutions.
• Assist in the evaluation of tools and technologies to meet business needs.
• Support solution testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure smooth implementation.

6. Continuous Improvement:

• Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business analysis and process modeling.
• Provide recommendations for process improvement and innovation.
• Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process modeling, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of business process modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML).
• Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to enterprise-level applications and system integration projects.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma.
