Lead- Land & Enabling Infra (South)

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced Project Development Lead North & West to drive the development of wind, solar, and hybrid renewable energy projects across India. The role involves identifying, evaluating, and securing project sites, ensuring regulatory and land acquisition compliance, and managing stakeholder coordination to make projects shovel-ready for execution. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of land policies, connectivity approvals, and hybrid project development.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

KRA

Site Identification & Project Pipeline Development

• Identify and evaluate new and hybrid renewable energy project sites across North & West India, ensuring alignment with company criteria on wind speeds, solar irradiance, and grid connectivity.
• Conduct on-ground site visits and assessments for land acquisition feasibility and power evacuation potential.
• Work with internal teams to shortlist sites based on resource assessment, land availability, and infrastructure proximity.

KPI

• Number of potential sites identified and assessed per quarter based on wind speeds, solar irradiance, and grid connectivity criteria.
• successfully meeting feasibility criteria for land acquisition and power evacuation.
• TAT for site evaluation

KRA

Land Acquisition & Due Diligence

• Lead the end-to-end land acquisition process, including negotiations with landowners, brokers, and facilitators to secure sites.
• Conduct legal, technical, and commercial due diligence on land parcels, ensuring compliance with local regulations and bankability for financing.
• Manage documentation for mutation, land diversion, and lease registrations to ensure seamless project execution.

KPI

• Percentage of land acquired against the annual target for project development.
• Compliance adherence rate for legal, technical, and commercial due diligence, ensuring zero regulatory or financing rejections.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

1. Stakeholders in Renewable space (Government agencies and private players, Regulatory bodies etc.
2. Central, state and Local government bodies and authorities, related to revenue and land department or any other wrt to carrying out business.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

1. CBO, Functions and Departments W/I Renewables. Project development and execution teams.
2. All the internal functions in Renewable/Energy sector

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

LLB / B. Tech / BE / M. Tech in Electrical, Civil, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
