Job Overview: The Assistant Manager - Analytical Development will play a crucial role in advancing our R&D initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in molecular biology, virology, and analytical methods to support the development and validation of vaccines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate analytical methods for vaccine candidates.
• Perform molecular biology and virology assays to support R&D projects.
• Analyse and interpret data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation of experiments and results.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and Virbac standards.
• Guide the novel method development where pharmacopeial and regulatory requirements are not defined.
• Train and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

• Advanced University degree (Masters degree or PhD) in life sciences with specialization in Virology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in analytical development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably with focus on recombinant products.
• Experience in cloning, expression and purification of proteins from heterologous system.
• Prior experience in generation of recombinant viruses by reverse genetics will be an added advantage.
• Comprehensive understanding, knowledge and design of experiments as per the regulatory requirements and guidelines for analytical test development (e.g., national and international regulatory authority-CDSCO, FDA, EMA, WHO, ICH, VICH).
• Strong background in virology and the development of assays for virus quantification.
• Proficient in analytical methods such as HPLC, ELISA, and other relevant techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
