Job Profile For Biochemist/Genetic Engineer. We are seeking a talented and motivated Biochemist/Genetic Engineer to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced biochemical and genetic engineering research, developing innovative solutions, and contributing to projects that enhance our understanding of genetic mechanisms and their applications in biotechnology
Qualification & Experience. D. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong focus on genetic engineering and molecular biology techniques
Experience with recombinant DNA technology, protein purification and enzyme assays
Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and software
Knowledge of cell culture techniques and transfection methods
A track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals is highly desirable
Duties & Responsibilities. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:. Conduct research on biochemical processes within living organisms
Develop and test biochemical products like drugs and enzymes
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safety protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate findings
Modify genetic material using techniques like CRISPR and gene cloning
Conduct research to understand gene function and develop gene therapies
Analyze genetic data with bioinformatics tools
Collaborate with scientists and innovate new gene-editing methods
Other Requirements. Ability to interpret complex data and solve problems
Capable of writing reports and presenting research findings
Precision in experiments and data recording
Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards
Additional Responsibilities. This includes but not limited to the following:. Generally aware of best practices and business/industry trends in writing/translation
Participate in VC/audio calls along with your manager and record the minutes as required
