Requirements

Bachelor s degree in technology or related field or equivalent experience
Strong leadership skills developed with a minimum 5 years experience leading data engineering teams
Experience leveraging technology to solve business problems of varying degrees of complexity
Ability to analyze and estimate needed resource capacity needed both with a current state focus and longer-term roadmap view in mind
Experience partnering with product, vendors, Business Intelligence/Analytics Teams, or other IT departments to ensure proper priority and execution of business value
Ensure teams success by driving roadmap creation and execution, facilitating technical design, monitoring execution of work through production delivery
Experience with architectural design and ability to drive consensus on design and approach, including frameworks, languages, and build/buy conversations
A deep understanding of the modern data stack and the ability to deliver valuable datasets by traditional design methodologies (Kimball, Inmon), but also by other means (real-time streaming, APIs).
Experience coding with SQL (SQL Server, Snowflake, dbt) and AWS (DMS, Lambda, S3) a requirement
API development, Python and Event-streaming experience is a plus
Understanding of reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, ThoughtSpot) and optimization techniques.
A deep understanding of the data development lifecycle, best practices for quality and automation, secure design, scalability, and resiliency
Being a key contributor and advocate for Data Governance
High degree of technical competency, ability to learn new technology quickly, aptitude for details and ability to make both strategic and tactical decisions
Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including influencing and ability to encourage innovation
Highly collaborative, willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams, proven relationship-building skills
Experience in BA/DA management is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail
