An MYP (Middle Years Programme) Teacher at OWIS plays a vital role in delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, which caters to students aged 11–16. The MYP is designed to develop critical thinking, global-mindedness, and holistic learning through an inquiry-based approach.

Responsibility :

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Planning & Delivery:

• Design and implement engaging, inquiry-driven lessons aligned with MYP objectives.
• Foster interdisciplinary connections to enhance student understanding.

1. Assessment & Feedback:

• Utilize formative and summative assessments to measure student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to support growth and development.

1. Student Development:

• Promote Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, including communication, research, and self-management.
• Support students in personal projects and community-based learning.

1. Collaboration:

• Work closely with colleagues in planning units, sharing best practices, and moderating assessments.
• Engage with parents through regular communication and conferences.

1. Professional Development:

• Participate in IB training and continuous learning opportunities to stay updated with the latest educational strategies.

1. Pastoral Care:

• Mentor students, supporting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
