Actuarial Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Actuary to spearhead our actuarial functions. The role will involve pricing and reserving strategies, risk analysis, and compliance while supporting business growth through actionable insights. The Senior Actuary will play a key role in enhancing profitability, managing risks, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust pricing models to maintain competitiveness and profitability across all insurance products, particularly in motor and health insurance.
• Conduct risk assessments and scenario testing to ensure financial stability and adequacy of reserves.
• Lead actuarial support in product development, contributing insights into pricing structures, risk profiles, and market trends.
• Ensure full compliance with IRDAI regulations and provide necessary actuarial certifications and reports.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, product, and technology teams to integrate actuarial insights into strategic decisions.
• Analyze claims trends and identify opportunities for optimizing loss ratios and underwriting standards.
• Mentor and guide a team of actuarial analysts to foster professional growth and innovation within the function.

Requirements

• Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) or equivalent global certification (e.g., FIA, FSA).
• 8+ years of actuarial experience (Insurance experience preferred)
• Proven expertise in pricing, reserving, and risk management practices.
• Proficiency in actuarial software such as Prophet, R, Python, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset and experience in predictive modeling techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex actuarial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
