Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Management:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and that all meals are prepared according to recipes and standards.
Manage kitchen staff, assign tasks, and ensure efficient use of resources and time.
Ensure that the kitchen is fully stocked with necessary ingredients and equipment, keeping track of inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
Meal Preparation:
Prepare and cook meals based on the menu while maintaining consistency and quality.
Create new menu items, or assist in the development of seasonal or special dishes.
Monitor portion control and food waste to optimize kitchen operations.
Leadership & Staff Development:
Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring proper techniques and safety standards.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Foster a positive, efficient, and collaborative team environment.
Food Safety & Hygiene:
Ensure the kitchen complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and proper food storage.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and used correctly.
Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and prepared food to ensure they meet safety standards.
