About the Role :
We are seeking a passionate and experienced R&D Project Manager to join our team and lead the development of innovative robotics solutions.
You will play a pivotal role in driving projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient resource allocation.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for R&D initiatives, including new product development, technology exploration, and process improvement.
- Ensure project goals are aligned with Genrobotics' overall R&D strategy and contribute to the advancement of autonomous robotics and human-robot interaction.
- Effectively allocate resources, assign tasks, and monitor progress to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Foster a collaborative environment by facilitating communication between the R&D team, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate shared objectives and ensure alignment between cross-functional teams (e.g, purchasing, production, business development, operations & maintenance, product development).
- Define clear success criteria and objectives for both individual projects and the overall R&D program.
- Proactively communicate project milestones, risks, updates, and progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
- Monitor project performance and maintain comprehensive scorecards to track project status.
- Bridge the gap between technical teams and business goals, ensuring projects deliver tangible value.
- Identify potential risks and roadblocks that could hinder project progress.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to overcome challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
- Adapt plans proactively to avoid delays and maintain project momentum.
- Foster collaboration across departments (e.g, purchasing, production, business development, operations & maintenance, product development) to facilitate project success.
- Provide senior leadership with accurate financial updates through monthly reports or similar formats.
- Ensure all R&D projects comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Oversee project adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and keeping teams focused on critical deliverables.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline project execution and enhance efficiency.
- Optimize human resource utilization across projects by applying effective project management techniques.
- Create clear workflows and process flows for successful project completion.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4-8 years of experience as a project manager, preferably within a robotics R&D environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex R&D projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of Agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g, Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Solid understanding of technical concepts related to robotics (a plus).
- Experience with project management software (e.g, MS Project, Jira) is a plus.
- PMP certification is a plus
