About the Role:

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. As an SRE, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and reliable systems, and to drive initiatives that improve system performance, scalability, and resilience.

You will be involved in building and operating large-scale, distributed systems in a cloud environment, applying both software engineering and systems engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Reliability: Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of services, infrastructure, and applications.
• Incident Management: Participate in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution, improving post-incident processes.
• Automation & Tooling: Build and maintain automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and alerting.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g. SignalFx, Slam, & APM) to track system health and metrics.
• Capacity Planning: Help predict and scale resources, ensuring systems meet evolving traffic demands.
• Infrastructure as Code: Use infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) to deploy and maintain infrastructure.
• Performance Tuning: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize system components, and improve overall efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work with development teams to ensure service reliability during development cycles, including supporting continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Slam, SignalFx & APM).
• Infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in a production environment.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Reliability & Scalability: Experience with high-availability, fault-tolerant, and disaster recovery strategies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture and managing large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Basic(python)).
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Cloud Watch, ECS, AMI, DB)
