We are looking for a motivated Data Analyst to join our team at Genpact. This role is suited for individuals with foundational knowledge in data management, basic SQL queries, and an interest in learning ETL processes and report automation. The ideal candidate should be able to understand and follow through on simple business requirements, possess basic troubleshooting skills in SQL, and demonstrate a readiness to deliver quality client service under supervision. A willingness to support other team members as needed is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analysis to provide operational insights for decision-making, focusing on handling and organizing data sets.
• Work under supervision with external clients to help identify their needs and assist in developing basic data solutions that align with business goals.
• Support internal teams in resolving minor issues and contributing to solutions that improve data process efficiencies.
• Help document system requirements for technology upgrades and assist during system migrations under guidance from more experienced team members.
• Aid in the maintenance of ETL processes under supervision, ensuring correct data transformation and integration within data warehouse environments.
• Assist in building and maintaining simple automated reports using SQL and tools like PowerBI, aiming to reduce manual efforts.
• Perform data checks under supervision to ensure adherence to data access protocols and to support data integrity within systems.
• Support senior analysts in assessing organizational needs and executing straightforward, scalable solutions.
• Help troubleshoot basic SQL issues under guidance, maintaining data integrity and workflow continuity.
• Participate in maintaining client relationships, ensuring clear communication under the guidance of senior team members.
• Support project teams in an Agile environment, helping to manage timelines and resolve issues under supervision.
• Assist in training sessions and contribute to team knowledge sharing, adhering to best practices in data management.
• Contribute as a team player in a collaborative setting, showing eagerness to learn and adapt to business needs.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

• Basic knowledge of data management, simple SQL query writing, and an understanding of ETL processes.
• Introductory troubleshooting skills in SQL with the ability to assist in resolving straightforward issues.
• Familiarity with PowerBI for data visualization and basic reporting.
• Initial client service experience, with an understanding of data confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision and collaborate with both external clients and internal teams.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the potential to develop strong client and colleague relationships.
• Basic project management skills and a willingness to learn Agile methodologies.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team, showing a proactive approach to tasks.
• Enthusiasm for learning and supporting more experienced team members.
• Interest in handling data projects and client data setups.
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing strategic insights and operational analyses for decision-making with large data sets within divisions such as reinsurance and claims.
• Expertise in data audits, ensuring compliance with data access protocols, and maintaining data accuracy throughout the reporting lifecycle.
• Designing and implementing automated reporting solutions that reduce manual reporting.
• Strong understanding of data integrity and validation requirements
• Proven track record in creating scalable, effective data solutions for handling high-volume data efficiently.
