Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant - SCCM Admin
Responsibilities
Receive functional issues from level 1 support and work with technical support team(s) to resolve issues (e.g. problem, configuration, bug, tuning, release and output to new project requirements or enhancements).
Raise SR s with vendors Microsoft / 1e. Monitor and follow up with vendors Microsoft / 1e providing files as requested.
Test fixes, configuration changes and patches to resolve reported issues.
Reproduce reported performance issues and work with Client s onshore resources to investigate root cause.
Monitor environment for new issues (Server and Client), setup alerts pro-actively remediate issues.
Update static configurations and follow Client s established procedures as requested through IT user support requests or by Client s Operations management.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported with existing Systems Center servers or clients.
Provide fixes as needed and follow-up with required off-shore and on-shore IT resources.
Health Management of SCCM/Defender environment inclusive of infrastructure and client population, reporting (whether native or additional enhancements) and remediation as needed
View summary and detailed information from the Configuration Manager Console and reports.
Monitoring alert reports, Software distribution & Patch management
Manage the process for global deployment of desktop and server operating system patches to agreed systems, standards and schedules, including dealing with custom business maintenance windows
Operating System deployment, Hardware inventory, Software metering & Power management
Deployment and configuration of SCCM / Endpoint Protection client.
Configuration of default and custom Defender client and antimalware policies that apply to groups of computers. Policy implementation and outbreak prevention
If required creation and deployment of Windows Firewall settings to groups of computers.
Configuration of email notifications (e.g. alert you when computers report that malware is installed)
Integration of third-party products for managing WAN bandwidth use, or customizations to SCCM to overcome native shortfalls in the technology
Network monitoring for SCCM impact
SCCM off-net infrastructure management (IBCM)
Managing stale user and PC devices, clean-up for SCCM health and compliance, ensuring active directory and systems center are in sync.
Windows monitoring
Server & Agent troubleshooting
Maintenance of documentation relating to SCCM / Endpoint protection environment
SCCM Infrastructure upgrades and version changes
Application packaging, testing and targeted deployments (inclusive of reporting effectiveness of deployments) for multiple languages at Client.
Use of third-party tools for distribution, packaging (1e, Packaging etc.)
Implementation and support of 3rd party products integrating to the System Center suite.
Creation and maintenance of an application catalogue.
Support of global Laptop image for Client in conjunction with CTS
Deployment of the Global image in conjunction with Client IT
Managing Office and Windows Feature Updates annually
Dashboard reporting of installed products by vendor, used for software compliance and licensing management (On-going Software Asset Management).
SQL reporting services for customized outputs
License Management / Metering and recovery of unused product installations
Dashboard reporting of hardware installed globally, used to coordinate refresh cycle.
Dashboard reporting of Active Users and Computers
Distribution Point management
Technical enhancements to setup and configuration of reports (existing and new).
Functional enhancements with new configurations or patches resulting in changes to Systems Center processes.
Update of any custom scripts to support changes in Systems Management or support of new software / patch rollouts.
Reporting around the health of SCCM and automated remediation, whether native or additional enhancements
Demonstration of process, technology tuning to increase coverage of environment
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Bachelors Degree required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
