Job Role-Product Management and Strategy
Job Purpose Statement:
- Analyse company's product versus competition product offers through comprehensive data mining and desk research to support the product management function to devise company's strategy for new product offering or go to market approach.
- Ensures application of the company's marketing strategy through creation of presentation templates as desired by the Product Managers.
- Increase the level of professionalism with verticals through the implementation of defined Added Value Services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support to Regional Product Leads:
- Creating product road maps for Y brand product portfolio
- Analyzing the database and mapping it with the competition portfolio in finding the gaps.
- Laydown the strategy for the future products.
- Update the product road map in desired frequency and manage the data base whenever required.
Marketing and Commercial operations:
- Carry out commercial operations (Price comparisons, product sales, product mix) considering the validated recommendations from product management team.
- Deploy and manage the market intelligence database
- Analyse and track the results of marketing actions
- Sales forecast preparation as per desired frequency.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze the industry, its future trend and calculate the market share on desired frequency.
- Help the regional leads in deciding the product mix and pricing based on the industry trend. Creating the short term and long term sales plan in line with the organization's requirement with inputs from all the regional leads.
Strategy:
- Tracking high-priority strategic projects and coordinating with all stakeholders (internal & external)
- To monitor progress around the strategic goals for the company
- Conducts research and analysis to arrive at the required data points to aid decision making (Internal and External sources)
Key Result Areas:
- Put in place the database to analyse company's product portfolio with respect to tech specs/region wise
- Put in place the database to analyse competition with respect to tech/sales /market penetration
- Manage the implementation of the defined pricing in the New Product Development, basis sales/revenue reports.
- Do a comprehensive analysis of monthly business with respect to segment/mix/price/revenue/profit and the budget defined
- Provide all necessary information to improve the information required by Product Management team for strategy building or New Product launch
- Share with the principal stakeholders the quantitative and qualitative results
- Monitor and analyse claims with respect to sales for every key product by region
- Support the Product Management in their presentation activities
- Understanding of the products and segments
- Time for execution - applicable for all the strategic projects and product launch.
Educational Qualification:
Mandatory : B.E. + MBA
Skills & Knowledge:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated quantitative and problem-solving abilities
- Having an eye for detail and execute assignments with a process-oriented approach
Functional: Expertise in MS-Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
