Job Description
Essential responsibilities
- Accountable for Should Process adoption & operations for Hgp (hot gas path)/ Combustion commodity.
- Drive execution of Sourcing Should Process for Hgp Comb plan resources & timelines track progress manage risk pivot (as required) identify potential opportunities from should process studies partner with sourcing & suppliers to leverage should process insights for supplier process optimization & negotiations to track business outcomes
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions within the project team to identify cost productivity opportunities from Should Cost efforts formulate recommendations & partner with P2V teams & component owners to drive cost out projects on WAVE to deliver biz outcomes
- Partner with Supply Chain VPE ( virtual production environment ) Manufacturing & Sourcing) P2V Pivot to Value ( Variable Cost Productivity) teams to enable Cost Out and Sourcing teams on Should cost efforts to influence Should Cost Vs Deals review Make Vs Buy etc. . .
- Should Process Program Operations - Manage Program KPIs/ TTIs (Time to Insights) and ensure being on top of metrics from time to time develop & execute CAPA/ mitigation plans to meet program targets on time.
- Plan & Lead program MORs meticulously with in internal team & with senior leadership. Drive actions from reviews to closure.
- Partner with Should Process team to identify waste in existing tools & processes take up initiatives to drive productivity.
- Build (enable) road maps for all strategic Should Process tools & projects facilitate periodic strategic reviews translating strategy into long term goals & short term actions & outcomes.
- Lead Should Process transformational programs working closely with cross functional teams for implementation adoption & benefits realization.
- Work closely with Cost model development program team in providing insights on costing methods improvement & validation.
- Provide coaching & mentoring to the team on Manufacturing Cost out processes & negotiation dynamics.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor/Masters degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 15 years of experience in should cost
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing domain experience is supplier negotiations leveraging should cost.
- Demonstrated project leadership and awareness/exposure to LEAN methodologies to achieve program goals
- Demonstrated ability to lead mentor and influence customers and peers across cross functional global teams
- Demonstrated expertise in product cost out should cost analysis driving cost out ideas to closure to achieve biz benefits.
- Demonstrated understanding of the financial impact of technical solutions
Desired Characteristics
- Master degree in Production engineering from an accredited university or college
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Significant experience with Sourcing & Manufacturing teams
- Ability to make formal presentations to all levels of the organization customers and peers
