Job Description

The Surveillance Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing security systems and protocols to safeguard company assets, employees, and property. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in surveillance technologies, and a proactive approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security System Management:

Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect company assets, including physical premises, equipment, and intellectual property.
Install, maintain, and oversee surveillance systems, access control systems, alarms, and other security devices.

2. Security Monitoring and Response:

Monitor security systems and surveillance feeds to detect and respond to security breaches, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities.
Coordinate with security personnel and law enforcement agencies to investigate incidents and ensure timely resolution.

3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and weaknesses.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address security risks and minimize their impact on operations.

4. Security Training and Awareness:

Provide security awareness training to employees to promote a culture of security consciousness and compliance with security policies and procedures.
Conduct drills and exercises to test emergency response plans and ensure readiness to respond to security incidents.

5. Vendor Management:

Oversee relationships with security service providers, vendors, and contractors to ensure the quality and effectiveness of security services and solutions.
Evaluate vendor performance and contract compliance to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

6. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and surveillance.
Keep abreast of emerging security threats and regulatory developments to adapt security measures accordingly.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree or certification in security management is preferred.
Proven experience in security management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Skills:

Strong leadership and managerial skills.
Excellent knowledge of security systems, surveillance technologies, and access control systems.
Analytical mind-set with the ability to assess security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in security management software and tools.

Experience:

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in security management, with 3-4 years in a leadership role.
