Cost Controller

• The Cost Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control within the manufacturing facility
• This includes budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and financial analysis, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to cost management

1. Cost Accounting and Analysis:

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems and procedures.

• Monitor and analyse cost variances, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.

• Prepare detailed cost reports and financial analyses to support decision-making processes.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.

• Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to senior management.

• Identify and report on budget discrepancies, offering solutions to align actual spending with budgeted amounts.

3. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present periodic financial reports, including cost analyses, profit margins, and expense trends.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and cost efficiency.

4. Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory valuation and control, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of inventory costs.

• Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain accurate records.

• Work with procurement and production teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.

5. Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the manufacturing operations.

• Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost-saving initiatives and projects.

6. Compliance and Internal Controls:

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and systems to identify and mitigate risks.

• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA Inter, CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications are preferred.

• Proven experience as a Cost Controller, Cost Accountant, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or accounting in a manufacturing setting, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
