Job Summary:
- We are searching for a highly motivated and results-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our growing team.
- You will be responsible for driving sales of our mass-market FMCG products within the assigned territory in Haryana, focusing on building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and wholesalers specifically within this high-volume category.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve assigned sales targets for mass-market FMCG products within the Haryana territory.
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand consumer trends and preferences within the mass-market FMCG category in Haryana.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including distributors, retailers, and wholesalers, with a particular focus on mass-market channels.
- Negotiate and finalize sales contracts with customers, ensuring favorable terms for the company and strong market placement for our mass-market products.
- Oversee and coach a team of sales representatives (if applicable) to maximize sales of mass-market FMCG products.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of mass-market FMCG products across the assigned territory.
- Prepare accurate sales reports and participate in performance reviews, focusing on key metrics for mass-market FMCG products.
- Identify new business opportunities within the mass-market FMCG category and develop strategies to expand market share in Haryana.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/PG degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a strong focus on mass-market brands and distribution channels.
Experience within Haryana is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business objectives specifically within the mass-market FMCG sector.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required).
- Deep understanding of the Haryana market, particularly regarding mass-market FMCG consumer behavior and distribution channels (highly preferred).
