Job Title: Business Development Manager - US IT Staffing
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with 10+ years of experience in US IT staffing to drive client acquisition and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales, business development, and account management, focusing on MSP/VMS, Implementation Partners, and Direct Clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Proactively identify, research, and target new business opportunities within the US IT staffing market across various industries and technologies.
- Relationship Building: Build, cultivate, and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key hiring managers, procurement professionals, VMS administrators, and decision-makers within target organizations.
- Sales Cycle Management: Drive and manage the entire end-to-end sales cycle, from initial prospecting, lead qualification, proposal development, presentations, to contract negotiations and deal closing.
- Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic account plans to penetrate target accounts, understand their organizational structure, staffing needs, and procurement processes.
- Revenue Growth: Consistently meet and exceed challenging individual and team revenue and growth targets.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments within the US IT staffing sector.
- Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with internal recruitment teams, delivery managers, and leadership to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Proposal Development: Create compelling proposals, presentations, and sales collateral tailored to client needs and specific opportunities.
- Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, demonstrating strong business acumen and negotiation skills to achieve favorable terms.
- Reporting: Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance metrics to management.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, direct sales, and account management roles within the US IT staffing industry.
- Market Expertise: Proven, verifiable success in securing new business and managing accounts within the following areas:
- MSP/VMS Programs: Significant experience navigating and succeeding within Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Vendor Management System (VMS) driven programs.
- Implementation Partners: Strong track record of partnering with and securing business from IT implementation and consulting partners.
- Direct Clients: Demonstrated ability to acquire and manage direct client relationships outside of MSP/VMS programs.
- Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of the IT staffing sales process and various sales methodologies.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the US IT market, including current technologies, salary trends, and hiring practices.
- Environment Adaptability: Ability to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced, competitive, and target-driven sales environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify market opportunities and client needs.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales enablement tools.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated success in business development and sales within the US IT staffing industry.
