Inside Sales Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

• Team Management & Supervision:
• Lead and manage the back-office sales support team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Train, mentor, and motivate the team to perform at a high level and develop their skills.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans as needed.
• Allocate tasks to team members, ensuring smooth workflow and prioritization of high-impact activities.
• Sales Support & Operations:
• Oversee the processing of sales orders, ensuring they are entered into the system accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and customer requests.
• Ensure that customer data is accurately entered and maintained in CRM systems (e.g., Sales force, Hub Spot ).
• Work with inventory, logistics, and finance departments to ensure the timely shipment of products and proper billing.
• Track sales leads, monitor order status, and ensure that all customer queries are resolved in a timely manner.
• Reporting & Data Management:
• Prepare and maintain sales reports, analyzing sales data to track performance, trends, and opportunities.
• Provide insights to senior management regarding sales forecasts, trends, and operational inefficiencies.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all sales-related data, ensuring that CRM and other tracking systems are up-to-date.
• Assist in generating proposals, quotations, and other sales documentation as needed.
• Process Optimization & Workflow Management:
• Review, streamline, and improve back-office sales processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance productivity.
• Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for back-office operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations in all back-office activities.
• Work with IT and operations teams to ensure the tools and software used by the sales team are functioning optimally.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure smooth communication and efficient handover of tasks between front-office and back-office functions.
• Liaise with other departments, including marketing, finance, and customer service, to support sales initiatives and resolve issues.
• Work closely with finance teams to ensure correct invoicing, billing, and credit management.
• Customer Relationship Support:
• Address any post-sale inquiries or issues from customers, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and assist in resolving any concerns related to orders or deliveries.
• Support the sales team with any administrative tasks needed to close deals and enhance customer relationships.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 12-18 years of experience in industrial equipment/machinery industry with a focus on inside sales or similar role.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) or equivalent qualification.
  
• Proven track record of achieving high levels of success in an inside sales environment with excellent communication skills.
