Role & Responsibilities:
Business Development & Branch expansion:
- Identification of the potential areas / districts for expansion of business in a region
- Asses potential client base and product acceptability in new region / areas
- Asses opportunities for geographic expansion of operational area and setting up of new branch(es)
- Ensure business growth and diversity of products in the region as per business plan
- Analyze productivity, efficiency gaps of areas and branches and plug the same
- Guide credit teams in allotting working area to the Area Managers
Portfolio and risk management :
- Ensure credit team is taking preventive and curative measures in the region to maintain high quality portfolio
- Ensures rules and norms of the company related to HR, Admin, training are adhered strictly in pursuit of the risk management and defined process
- Assisting the Zonal Head and/or Business Head in formulating the strategies regarding portfolio and risk management in the region
Monitoring and Quality Control :
- Ensures rules and norms of the company are adhered strictly in pursuit of business growth in the region
- Visits field to observe field activities to ensure these processes are followed in compliance of the operational policy and procedure in the region
- Reviews MIS and bank transactions to check and ensure accuracy
- Closing the audit actions in the Regional level
- Guiding CIC/CM, ROPM and Manager (HR, Admin) to accomplish their work as per defined policy and process
- Oversee the functioning of the regional office
Support Team Management :
- Provide guidance and training to Regional Office (RO) staff and Area Managers
- Provide feedback to the RO staff and the Area Managers to improve performance
- Resolve internal conflicts at RO level and also within the area
- Help Regional Operations Manager in coordination with CM/CIC in identifying star performers and the low - performers in the region
- Guide and training HR in recruitment and training of new employees
- Ensure that the processes regarding branch opening and joining of staff are compliant
- Mentor RO staff
- Assist HR in confirmation and promotions of staff
Public relations :
- Develop rapport with other MFIs in the region, attends meetings convened by sectoral platforms like MFIN, Sa-dhan etc.
- Dynamic, articulate, hard working individual with strong interpersonal skills.
- 8+ years- experience with sales and operations in lending.
- Experience running Microfinance operations at the Area or Regional level.
- Masters in Rural Management, Marketing, Business administration.
