Chief Business Officer/Head - Partnerships


Key Role & Responsibilities :


1. Drive Corporate Partnerships team nationally be accountable for achieving CSR and other relevant fund-raising goals set as per the annual business plans. Map and build prospective donors (for expansion and new partnerships) propositions and outreach plans for companies, in a systematic manner across all regions.

2. Activating internal and external networks towards identification and cultivation of prospective corporate partners at strategic level.

3. Create seamless working environment and play pivotal role between Corporate Partnerships Programme - Finance department. Also, provide market driven feedback and strategic inputs to programme team towards building strong proposals.

4. Create and execute robust marketing and nurturing strategy towards retention, expansion and lead creation. This may include high level roundtables/summits or securing speaker slots at relevant conferences.

5. Support team towards ideation and lead creation for non-CSR funds through events, campaigns, Pay Roll Giving and employee engagement/giving activities

6. Ensure top of the line servicing for all corporate donors

7. Ensure adherence to and implementation of and adherence to the CRM tools in the company at, review of inputs and take actionable inputs into strategy therefrom.

8. Provide timely and strategic feedback and direction to direct reports, entire corporate partnership teams and build capacities of programs and other teams to be able to support fundraising

Competencies:

- Fundraising Expertise: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing successful fundraising strategies, including a strong understanding of B2B and B2C fundraising approaches. Proven ability to secure donations, grants, and sponsorships, and familiarity with online fundraising platforms.

- Relationship Building: Strong networking and relationship management skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain meaningful partnerships with corporate entities, individual donors, and funding organizations. Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and build a community of supporters. The candidate should have demonstrated high quality skills in building internal relationships within the organisation, as that is a key factor of success in this role.

- Persuasive Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. When writing or speaking comes across as persuasive, credible, and polished with excellent interpersonal skills.

- Achieving results: Demonstrate drive and determination to achieve both results and success; can be counted upon to successfully exceed goals; regularly pushes self and others for results; bottom-line oriented, persisting despite obstacles and opposition.

- Leadership presence: Has an interpersonal style that engages others and encourages trust. - Manages Conflict: Dealing effectively with others in an antagonistic situation; using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict between two or more people.

Qualification and Experience:

1. Candidate should have a bachelor's degree either in management, Social Sciences, or development studies along with expertise in fundraising, in a non-profit organization with a focus on education, livelihood, skilling, health, women's empowerment, or vocational education projects.

2. Minimum 20 years of professional experience in a fast-paced and growing environment, with at least 5 years working in a leadership role in the development sector having prime responsibilities of building partnerships with corporates. Candidates with exceptional business development and fund-raising capabilities and a record willing to make a transition to the development sector are also encouraged to apply.

3. Excellent networking skills to represent the organization with corporates- India, multi-nationals, large owner driven firms, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and Government organizations and all other relevant and evolving donors.

4. Dynamic business development professional, having skills to influence senior business leaders in CSR space with an understanding of programmes.

5. Deep understanding of marketing & HR budgets, social campaigns, employee engagement activities will be an advantage.

6. Should possess skills to manage people, build long-term relationships with potential donors or existing partners.
