Job Title : SAP SD Support Lead
Location : Bengaluru

Role Purpose :
The SAP SD Support Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of SAP SD solutions. This individual will guide and mentor the development team, ensuring that best practices are applied throughout the engineering lifecycle.
The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to align expectations and ensure smooth integration between technical teams and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Guidance :
- Lead a team of developers, providing direction on technical challenges, project scope, and development methodologies.
- Ensure the team applies best engineering practices, focusing on Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) to maintain quality and efficiency.
Project Management & Strategy Development :
- Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for programming and networking development.
- Ensure that projects are aligned with organizational goals and are executed on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and aligning their expectations with the engineering development process.
- Regularly provide updates on progress, challenges, and changes.
Process Improvement & Technical Support :
- Support the continuous improvement of processes, identifying areas for operational efficiency and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing :
- Provide coaching and support to junior team members, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Encourage knowledge sharing across teams, ensuring that technical expertise is passed on.
Deployment & Maintenance :
- Oversee the successful deployment of SAP SD solutions and ensure their ongoing maintenance.
- This includes handling system updates, patching, and addressing any issues that arise post-deployment.
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration :
- Collaborate with multiple teams across different locations, ensuring seamless integration between SAP SD processes and other business systems.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure the technical solution aligns with broader organizational objectives.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications :
Educational Background :
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience :
- 7-10 years of experience working in SAP SD support, with hands-on exposure to S4/HANA for at least 1 year.
- Experience in managing complex SAP SD projects and providing technical leadership is essential.
Technical Skills :
- Strong understanding of SAP Infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud.
- Hands-on experience with SAP SD, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar platforms for managing service requests and issues.
- Solid experience with project management, with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale technical projects.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills :
- Strong analytical abilities to assess technical issues and provide practical solutions.
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing complex problems within SAP SD modules.
Industry Standards & Best Practices :
- A deep understanding of IT industry standards and best practices.
- Experience in process improvement models and capability development (people, processes, technology, knowledge).
Communication & Interpersonal Skills :
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Must be a respectful, cooperative, and solution-focused team player with high integrity.
Willingness to Learn & Teach :
- Strong desire to continuously improve skills and knowledge, with an openness to teaching others within the team.
Collaboration & Solution Focused Mindset :
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams, especially across international locations.
- Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on continuous improvement.
Additional Skills (Preferred) :
- Certification in SAP SD or related modules is a plus.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies would be beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
