Steel Fabricator (Heavy Steel - Oil & Gas)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Steel Fabricator with a proven track record in heavy steel fabricationpreferably in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will excel at fabricating, assembling, and welding steel structures with high accuracy and tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols
• Cut, shape, and weld heavy steel components to strict tolerance requirements
• Conduct dimensional checks to ensure adherence to industry and client standards (e.g., AWS, API)
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a hazard-free work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members on project updates and challenges
• Perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment

Qualifications

• 5 years in heavy steel fabrication (oil & gas experience preferred)
• Skilled in MIG/TIG/Stick welding and working to tight tolerances
• Strong ability to interpret complex blueprints and welding symbols
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (AWS, API)
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Team-oriented with effective communication skills
