Job Summary
Ingersoll Rand Global Engineering IT team is seeking a PLM System Administrator to support sustenance and maintenance support across Ingersoll Rand. The candidate work collaboratively with fellow System Administrators located in India & USA.
Responsibilities
Installation, configuration, and support of Windchill environments
Re-hosting (Cloning) Windchill environments.
Supports daily operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, capacity management, provisioning, hardware and software configuration, patching, upgrades and performance monitoring/tuning Administers multiple systems including regular after-hour & weekend supports and 24x7x365 in a 99.999% uptime environment.
Manage lifecycles, workflows, queues, security, roles, templates, etc. within the Windchill environment.
Troubleshoots and resolves system problems, incidents/requests, ensure SLA adherence
Works proactively to identify root cause and recommends/ implements preventative solutions.
Adheres to global IT standards, policies and procedures and coordinate related activities with global IT teams.
Work with vendor to troubleshoot issues and implement patches when necessary.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Computer science (preferred) /Information Technology /Mechanical or Any stream / Master in Computer Applications
5-7 years experience in administrating Windchill PLM systems.
Recent PLM administration responsibilities in a global design and manufacturing environment
Experience in PTC Windchill administration, cluster configuration, rehosting, and analyzing performance issues.
Experience working in Linux environment, Linux commands and shell scripting.
