Job Description
We are looking for a Content Development Manager to drive excellence in BSM’s Marine HR training strategy and maintain our top-tier position in the maritime industry. In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and quality assurance of our global seafarer training programs.
Your Mission: to empower our seagoing professionals with world-class learning experiences that support BSM’s strategic goals and ensure our competitive advantage through competence, retention, and motivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of training content to align with BSM’s strategic goals and seafarer development.
- Conduct research to create innovative, interactive training content that addresses current industry needs and trends.
- Improve content delivery and engagement using data-driven insights, learner feedback, and the latest learning methodologies.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and BSM standards, incorporating ISO 9001 principles to drive program quality.
- Organize and lead workshops, webinars, and seminars, focusing on interactive, learner-centric methods.
- Track and report training outcomes, ensuring documentation is current and transparent for management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master/Chief Engineer license with at least 5 years of experience or advanced education with expertise in curriculum design for training and development.
- Preferred: IMO 6.09, 6.10, 3.12, 1.30 certifications.
Education & Work Experience:
- 3+ years in a leadership role within training and development or technical content creation, ideally within a shipping company or maritime training college.
Job Specific Skills:
- Proven expertise in training design and delivery using diverse methodologies.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Strong knowledge of industry trends and emerging learning technologies.
- Advanced computer skills (MS PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel).
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
