Job Description

Job Title: Sr Mgr Projects (Edible Oil Manufacturing company)

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Experience: 15 to 30 Years

Salary: USD 4000 5000 per month

Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager Projects Job is to lead the overall project operations of the Group. To liaise with different suppliers, contractors, vendors etc and ensure project completion within stipulated time, cost and defined standards. The role leads all project-related operations across all business units which include but are not limited to Project planning, supervision and other support functions for Plantation, Refinery, SEP and other utilities. As it is a leadership role so also responsible to promote a positive culture that supports teamwork within the organization and a favorable image of the organization.

Job Requirements -

1. Engineering graduate(Mechanical) with leadership experience in handling multiple projects in processing of edible oil, agro commodities, plantations etc at the same time.

2. Post Qualification, relevant experience of minimum 15 + years, out of which minimum of 5 years would be needed in handling a similar role in an Organisation with employee strength of more than 1000 employees.

3. Strong techno commercials skills and good interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

5. As per the need of the business the job is transferrable and posting can be made anywhere in Nigeria/West Africa.

Job Responsibilities -

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality or quantity.

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITY - To assist leadership and board to achieving the vision of the organization and guide the team members with the development of short, mid & long-term plans.

To be responsible for developing, monitoring, measuring, and managing functional KPIs to ensure Performance and profitability objectives are met.

To develop a competent team of professionals across all functional area by providing adequate training and guiding them to achieve organizational performance objectives.

To do CAPEX analysis, leading multiple projects from inception to commissioning and stabilization.

To prepare a monthly, quarterly and annual project performance plan to drive performance of all processes towards achievement.

Day to Day Management -To organize, direct and supervise daily, weekly and monthly schedule job among project team and respective contractors, vendors and suppliers.

To monitor the completion of job assigned through frequent field observation and inspections to ensure compliance with standards, quality systems, instructions and time frame as necessary.

To educate technical team by establishing regular meetings, trainings, programs/seminars in the area of skill development, knowledge enhancement, utility usage, housekeeping etc.

To coordinate with site incharge and respective unit head to ensure necessary support and facilitation for project team.

To achieve regular process audit inspection to ensure Housekeeping, safety of plants, personnel and environment through the proper implementation of EHS.

To supervise quality standards, work on implementation of GMP, HACCP & ISO.

Operational Targets To achieve project completion within stipulated time and cost with defined standards.

Key Projects -To assess the various information tools, identify cost optimization opportunities and pinpoint bottleneck areas to further increase plant productivity, rejection control and resources utilitization.

Identify new projects and opportunities for improvement and take responsibility for its successful execution after approval from management.

Leadership - To ensure organizational performance against the targets on periodic basis and have periodic meetings with the team members to communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing training opportunities.

Growth Targets - To ensure Product wise/Business wise Targets are achieved through managing the effective strategy and follow-up to ensure accomplishment of operational plans.

To implement various operational efficiency tools like TQM, TPM etc. to boost operational efficiency.

MIS - To prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards.

RELATED ASSIGNMENT - To perform other related duties or assignment as and when assigned.
