FINANCE CONTROLLER (NIGERIA)

(This appointment is for a two-year contract, subject to renewal.)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
• Establish and maintain tables of accounts, ensuring proper entries and classifications.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
• Manage cash flow and banking operations to support business activities.
• Monitor and control fixed assets, inventory, accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P).
• Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements, submitting statutory reports within the required timeframe.

Accounting & Compliance

• Prepare accounting schedules, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processing, including overtime, monthly salaries, and staff benefits in accordance with company HR policies.
• Ensure the accuracy of revenue accounting and production reporting.
• Conduct monthly stock counts and oversee warehouse financial activities when necessary.

MIS & Strategic Financial Analysis

• Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports and provide financial data analysis to support decision-making.
• File returns within statutory deadlines and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist with the financial management of sister companies and other departments as required by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA Intermediate with 3 years of training or CA Final preferred.).

Experience

• 2-5 years in a manufacturing environment

Skills

• Hands-on experience in MIS reporting, stock reconciliation, VAT filing, and salary processing.
• Strong analytical and financial planning abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems and office tools

SALARY & BENEFITS

• Overseas Salary: USD 1,400 per month, payable quarterly within 4-6 weeks after the end of each calendar quarter.
• Local Salary: NGN 120,000 per month (NGN 20,000 allocated for housemaid expenses), paid monthly.
