What We Do
Home and BGM (Books & General merchandise) are Business units which hold super categories that are already billion dollars sized individually in the market. These BUs will help Flipkart increase focus on critical customer segments like metro customers & women shoppers
We are looking for people like us who will build a category together from scratch and scale and enroute gather fun filled learning experience
Role Summary : This role owns enabling ample discovery on Flipkart platform for each category of the BUs and make Flipkart a destination by habit for the customers of the respective categories. Own all internal merchandising for Home & BGM. Launch, develop & execute sustained merchandising campaigns.
Strategy and planning
- Know the market and trend forecasts: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on selection, gaps, size, internal capabilities, etc. Optimise for monthly content and trend planning.
- Identify product differentiation based on consumer needs and journey funnel
- Own key merchandising channels & metrics
- Front end all merch requirements in terms of offer creation in BAU & sale events
- Designing month/ weekly calendar plan and ensuring each constructs drives healthy traffic flow as per the business objectives
- Ability to drive adoption & scale up businesses via merchandising
- Manage in store promotions along with brands - make brands partners in customer communication
- Working with in-house/ external designers to produce materials of visual impact and within brand guidelines
Desired Background:
- MBA/Marketing graduate with 3-6 years of experience
- Experience in online merchandising or sell side
- Experience in a retail/online/FMCG/Creative agencies is a must
- Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion
- Very strong bias to action
- Over indexed on analytical side of business
- Planning comprehensive roadmaps to achieve shared goals.
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- From Tier 1/2 B-School is preferred
