SAP PI/PO Consultant - E2E Implementation (4-9 yrs)

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP PI/PO Consultant with a strong background in EDI and B2B integration. This role requires an expert who has hands-on experience in SAP PI/PO, particularly in B2B integrations, mapping, and communication protocols.

The ideal candidate will have the technical ability to design and implement integrations, develop custom functions, and support SAP ERP systems in a complex enterprise environment. You will work alongside our technical and functional teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP systems and

third-party applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and implement B2B integration solutions using SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration).

- Create and manage interfaces, adapters, and communication channels for integration between SAP and external systems.

- Perform mapping of complex business data (such as EDI formats including EDIFACT and ANSI X12) between SAP and external systems.

- Handle all aspects of communication protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, OFTP, AS1, and AS2.

- Write User Defined Functions (UDFs) in Java and JavaScript to meet business-specific requirements in the PI/PO environment.

- Customize functionality for mapping, routing, and error handling as required in the integration process.

- Work extensively with EDI structure mapping, including IDOC structure and file-based communication.

- Create, modify, and manage IDOCs (Intermediate Documents) and their integration into SAP systems.

- Ensure data integrity and compliance in the transfer of data using EDI standards and protocols.

- Provide solutions for EDI setup in SAP ERP systems, including AS2 connectivity setup for secure data transmission.

- Prepare and review technical specifications, mapping specifications, and integration guidelines to ensure smooth project delivery.

- Collaborate with the functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into integration solutions.

- Develop detailed documentation for integration processes, including troubleshooting guides and user manuals.

- Work closely with business analysts, SAP functional consultants, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment of integration strategies and project goals.

- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and execution of integration requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 4+ years of experience in EDI and SAP PI/PO development.

- Hands-on experience in B2B integrations and SAP PI/PO configuration, development, and troubleshooting.

- Expertise in mapping EDI structures such as EDIFACT and ANSI X12, along with IDOC structure development and integration.

- Extensive experience in working with communication protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, OFTP, AS1, AS2).

- Proficient in writing User Defined Functions (UDFs) using Java and JavaScript for SAP PI/PO integration.

- Strong understanding of EDI integration in SAP, including knowledge of AS2 connectivity setup.

- Experience with SAP R/3, ECC, and S/4HANA integration projects is highly preferred.

- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) is a plus.

- Proficient in creating technical specifications and mapping documentation for integration processes.
