Job Description

  • The Thematic Specialist will play a vital role within the EU-funded project focused on enhancing the capacities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in North and Central India
  • This position demands expertise in specific thematic areas related to governance, compliance, and financial management, contributing essential guidance and support to strengthen the capabilities of participating organizations

    • Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized knowledge and expertise in the designated thematic area (eg, Governance, Compliance, and Financial Management)
  • Assist in tailoring project interventions, workshops, and content to align with the thematic focus
  • Collaborate effectively with Program Coordinator and other stakeholders to implement project activities effectively
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and developments within the sector
  • Conduct field visits to assess progress and offer necessary assistance
  • Develop tools, manuals, formats, etc for organizational system strengthening
  • Provide handholding and accompaniment support to organizations for robust system development
  • Engage in thematic-specific networking initiatives, forums, and discussions aimed at building collaboration and shared learning
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance to CSOs within the thematic domain
  • Conduct research and analysis to provide valuable insights for enhancing thematic capacity
  • Undertake additional duties within the position's scope as required by FMSF

    • Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of practical experience in the development sector
  • Excellent communication skills (English and Hindi)
  • Proficiency in project coordination and stakeholder engagement
  • Proficient in providing guidance on Financial compliances topartners
  • Experience working in finance, accounting and compliance will be preferred
  • Proficiency in analysing data and reporting effectively
  • Strong technical skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficient in IT and communication tools
