Job Title Sales Manager - MICE / Corporate / Banquet

Functional Objective of the position:

  • As a Sales manager you are responsible for MICE, Corporate and Banquet is a key role within the hospitability and event management industry. This position is responsible for driving revenue and achieving sales targets by effecting promoting and selling the meeting, incentive, conference and event services, as well as corporate and banquet facility.
  • Also develops strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.

Key Deliverables

  • Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and occupancy goals for the MICE, Corporate and Banquet segments.
  • Responsible for identifying and targeting potential clients, markets and industry sectors to generate leads and sales opportunities.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners and decision – makers to secure repeat business.
  • Understand client needs and requirements to tailor proposals and packages to meet their specific event and budgetary requirements.
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering persuasive sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Responsible for conducting marketing research to identify emerging trends and potential clients.
  • Responsible for monitoring sales performance and preparing regular reports on revenue forecasts, bookings, and sales activities.
  • Heading the sales team of your assigned territory.
  • Responsible for Corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for SBE.
  • Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
  • Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
  • Represent SBE in various events and exhibition.
  • Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Conducts daily sales calls and ensure timely reporting from the subordinates
  • Gather market intelligence and ensure same is recorded in the shape of Daily /weekly and Monthly reports.
  • Able to provide Quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long-term business relationships.
  • Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
  • Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. CVGR, generating proposal, Corporate Rate Application letter, writing contract, customer correspondence).
  • Able to supports hotels service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Education:

  • 3-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.

Experience:

  • 3 to 4 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
