About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Symfony Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Backend Development & Testing :

- Develop, optimize, and maintain backend applications using Symfony and PHP.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange.

- Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and stability.

- Collaborate with QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing.

- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable software that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

2. Collaboration & Agile Development :

- Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to create seamless user experiences.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Use Git and GitLab for version control and efficient collaboration.

3. Continuous Learning & Process Improvement :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Symfony, PHP, and backend development trends.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills :

Required :

- 3 - 9 years of backend development experience, strongly focusing on Symfony.

- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and web application development.

- Experience in RESTful API design and development.

- Fluent in Dutch and English (strong written and verbal communication).

- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.

- Hands-on experience with Git/GitLab for version control.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred (Nice to Have) :

- Experience with API Platform (https : //api-platform.com/).

- Familiarity with RealEstateCore, MongoDB, GraphQL, and Graph databases.

- Experience with RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems.

- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments.

- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies like React or Vue.js.

- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Background in the building management or smart building industry is a plus.
