DevOps Engineer - IT Infrastructure Automation (5-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive automation, monitoring, and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, ensuring smooth delivery and operations of our applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Automation & Management :

- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

- Develop and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure with a focus on serverless architectures and containerization.

CI/CD Pipeline Management :

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI to ensure fast, reliable software delivery.

- Automate deployment processes and system configurations to enable efficient and repeatable workflows.

Monitoring & Incident Response :

- Implement and manage monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic to track system performance and reliability.

- Respond to and resolve system incidents, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.

Collaboration & Process Optimization :

- Partner with software engineering teams to ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and cost optimization of cloud environments.

- Document infrastructure processes and improvements while promoting best practices in DevOps methodologies.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement security best practices for cloud-based environments, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.

- Manage access controls, data protection strategies, and vulnerability assessments.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.

- Expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

- Strong understanding of serverless and microservices architecture.

- Experience with Kubernetes (or other container orchestration tools) and containerization technologies (Docker).

- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic.

- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or JavaScript for automation tasks.

- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.

- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and cloud infrastructure operations.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a complex, distributed environment.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have) :

- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications and large-scale distributed systems.

- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with API management and security frameworks in a cloud environment.
