We are seeking Senior QA Manager to join our Testing Services team supporting Clients globally
This role focuses on designing and executing test strategy and automation plans (including both functional and non-functional test automation) end-to-end for Clients, thereby enabling and expediting application upgrades
You will be responsible for the Delivery of the Projects
You will be the first point of contact for the Portfolio Manager and have holistic responsibility for Project Delivery and route everything through their Portfolio Managers
May have to assist the Portfolio Managers as necessary outside of project delivery as needed
You will have direct interaction with Customers and Professional Services SMEs globally
You will also establish best and innovative practices to boost overall team productivity and efficiency
What you bring:
Knowledge / Experience
15+ years of professional working experience in Software Quality Assurance with thorough understanding of SDLC.
Leadership experience of atleast 6+ years spanning across manual and automation testing teams.
Good Project, People and Client Relationship Management skills.
Skills
Ability to estimate, design, execute and report on end-to-end test automation plans (including both functional and non-functional test automation) for Clients.
Monitor and manage project progress and status reporting to Clients and Internal Stakeholders.
Good People Manager. Proactively manage resourcing for entire area and execute sustainable hiring strategy. Conduct mid-year and year-end appraisal processes.
Manage customer expectations and relationships.
Identify and manage risks with mitigation plans.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Create a skilled, well trained and sustainable team.
Be able to get quick POCs done wrt effort estimates and timelines.
Work with internal/external stakeholders for firm wide initiatives on team development, future technologies and innovation.
Suggest and implement industry wide best practices and bring in continuous process improvements via automation, utilities and other methodologies.
Ensure that projects are delivered in line with FIS process and methodologies.
Exhibit capability to understand pricing models and help pitch to new prospects.
Deliver customer projects successfully and continue support during the BAU.
Knowledge and exposure to Automation tools e.g. Selenium.
Knowledge and exposure to Automation frameworks e.g. Keyword Driven, Data Driven etc.
Knowledge and exposure to Source Code Management tools e.g. GIT, BitBucket etc.
Basic knowledge on usage of SQL queries.
Exposure to Project/Defect/Test Management tools e.g. JIRA, ALM etc.
Possesses the desire to increase knowledge and skills when circumstances call for additional learning.
Added bonus/secondary skills:
Knowledge of Finance domain especially Capital Markets, Risk and Treasury.
Experience of developing tools/utilities/automation from scratch using latest tech.
Practical knowledge of performance test automation using tools like JMeter.
Exposure to working on Agile methodology based projects - SCRUM, KANBAN etc.
Practical knowledge on Zephyr - Test Management tool.
Qualifications
Minimum BS/BSc/BTech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Competencies
Ability to create and execute comprehensive test automation plans.
Ability to pre-empt and plan for unknowns and risks.
Ability to analyze and suggest ideas to improves processes and automation suite to increase productivity and efficiency.
