Key skills for the job
As an Associate Director - QA Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality for digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, SMS, web, and social media.
You will have the opportunity to work with diverse clients, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, development, and analytics, to optimize and validate campaign workflows.
Your responsibilities will also include strategic consultation and project management, with a focus on Salesforce fitment discussions and alignment with client marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Test Plan Development :
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for multi-channel digital marketing campaigns.
End-to-End Testing :
- Conduct end-to-end testing of customer journeys, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Platform Component Testing :
- Test automation workflows, data management, personalization rules, segmentation logic, and triggered communications.
Data Validation :
- Perform data validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms, databases, and marketing tools.
System Integration Testing :
- Test integrations between the MarTech platform and other systems (CRM, CDP, data warehouses, analytics tools).
Automation Testing :
- Utilize automation tools to automate repetitive test cases (e.g, email rendering, workflow validations, data synchronization) and develop automated test scripts.
Compliance Assurance :
- Ensure campaigns comply with GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and other relevant regulations and internal standards.
Campaign Quality Assurance :
- Validate campaigns to ensure accessibility, correct formatting, and error-free deployment across all customer touchpoints.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Work closely with the Head of MarTech Consulting and cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns meet quality standards.
Issue Communication :
- Clearly communicate findings and quality issues to stakeholders, with actionable recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
Education :
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience :
- 7-9 years in quality assurance, particularly within digital marketing, marketing automation, or MarTech platforms.
Technical Skills :
- Experience developing test plans, writing test cases, and executing both manual and automated tests.
- Proficiency with QA tools (e.g, JIRA, Postman) and automation tools (e.g, Python, JavaScript) for scripting repetitive tests.
- SQL or data query language skills for data validation.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript for dynamic content and email template testing.
- Knowledge of AJO features, journey orchestration, audience segmentation, and real-time decisioning.
Soft Skills :
- Strong problem-solving skills to address campaign performance and data integrity issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
