Fidelis - SAP Data Services Engineer (4-9 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Data Services Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using SAP Data Services (BODS).

You will be responsible for building and optimizing ETL processes, ensuring data quality, and supporting data migration and integration projects. Strong expertise in Oracle RDBMS and Linux environments is mandatory.

Responsibilities :

SAP Data Services Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using SAP Data Services (BODS).

- Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from various source systems to target systems.

- Optimize BODS jobs for performance and efficiency.

- Develop and maintain data quality rules and validations.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for BODS jobs and processes.

Oracle RDBMS Expertise :

- Design and develop database objects (tables, views, stored procedures) in Oracle RDBMS.

- Write complex SQL queries and optimize database performance.

- Perform data modeling and database design.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

Data Integration and Migration :

- Support data migration projects by developing and executing data migration jobs.

- Integrate SAP and non-SAP systems using BODS.

- Ensure data consistency and accuracy during data integration and migration.

Performance Tuning and Optimization :

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in BODS jobs and database queries.

- Implement performance tuning techniques to improve ETL processing speed.

- Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for optimization.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP Data Services Engineer.

- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL jobs.

- Strong expertise in database design, development, and performance tuning.

- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex ETL solutions.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing and data integration concepts.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with data quality management and data governance.

- Experience with SAP modules (e., SAP BW, SAP ECC).

- Knowledge of other ETL tools (e., Informatica, Talend).

- Experience with cloud platforms (e., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.

- Understanding of SAP HANA.
