Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Executive finance to join our dynamic Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, with expertise in US GAAP, and hands-on experience using QuickBooks. You will be responsible for assisting with the management of day-to-day accounting tasks for our US operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bookkeeping & General Ledger Management:
• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks, ensuring all transactions are recorded in compliance with US GAAP.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other accounts regularly.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate and analyze financial reports, including profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Account Reconciliation:

Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of account reconciliations and resolve issues related to transactions, journal entries, and reporting.

Payroll & Compliance:

• Process biweekly payroll by taking inputs from HR.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP in the preparation of all financial reports.
• Invoicing/Collections/Payments:
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Communicate with the AP teams of US clients on issues pertaining to invoices, follow up for collections.
• Process vendor payments as per payment terms and manage accounting

Other Tasks:

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform ad hoc accounting duties as needed.

Experience:

• 5–8 years of experience working as an accountant, with specific experience managing the books for US clients.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office tools.

Desired Skills:

• Attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with US-based clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
