Senior Hardware Engineer-Manager

Broad Function:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Hardware Engineering Manager to join our team and lead the development of our Smart box locker systems

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the hardware engineering team, driving the design and development of hardware components, and ensuring the successful integration of hardware and software systems

Roles and Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development:

Build and lead a high-performing hardware engineering team

Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, product management, and manufacturing

Hardware Design and Development:

Oversee the end-to-end hardware development lifecycle, from concept through production

Ensure the design and development of robust, scalable, and cost-effective hardware solutions for Smart box lockers

Conduct and review technical feasibility studies and design proposals

Project Management:

Manage hardware development projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source and validate hardware components

Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Implement and maintain rigorous testing protocols to ensure the highest quality standards

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols

Conduct failure analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Technical Expertise:

Stay updated with the latest advancements in hardware technology and industry trends

Provide technical guidance and support for troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues

Develop and maintain detailed documentation of hardware designs, specifications, and processes

Requirements

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the development of automated locker systems or related technologies

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supplier management

Knowledge of compliance standards and certifications relevant to hardware products

Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or managerial role

Proven track record of leading hardware development projects from concept to production

Strong knowledge of hardware design tools, methodologies, and best practices

Experience with embedded systems, IoT, and integration of hardware and software

Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
