Construction - Abroad Job - Account Executive

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accountants executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, posting journal entries, updating financial statements, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, paying monthly payroll, and preparing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. The accountant will collaborate with various departments, providing financial insights and supporting decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
3. Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
4. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
5. Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing valuable insights to support financial planning.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
7. Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with financial regulations.
8. Stay updated with accounting standards, laws, and regulations, implementing changes as required.
9. Reports to the finance manager
10. Start: immediate or as soon as possible

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;

- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role and industry in east Africa is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

- Proficiency in Tally accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders.

- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

- Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
