Regional Sales Manager

Role & responsibilities

A Regional Sales Manager, is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for sales,
marketing, finance, and structure across a group of territories. They may also manage a sales
team and ensure their productivity and effectiveness.

• Developing sales strategies that align with company objectives, including setting sales
  targets, forecasting sales volumes, and evaluating performance.
• Managing large teams of sales representatives and regional sales managers, and speaking
  directly with customers about complaints. They also need to communicate sales goals and
  expectations to employees.
• Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
• Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
• Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
• Meets regional sales objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
• Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives, building and maintaining rapport with key customers, and identifying new customer opportunities.
• Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of yearly objectives.
• Communicates job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions, and sales team enforcing policies and procedures.
• Accomplishes regional sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts.
• Manage clients mapping and acquisition of lead or channel partners on the desired area.

Preferred candidate profile

- Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, or similar senior sales role

- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)

- Familiarity with CRM software

- Ability to lead and motivate a high performance sales team

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
