Job Description
Mechanical Technician will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities and ensure timely and effective repairs of breakdown in equipment and facilities like Pumps, Motors, Air compressor, Air dryer, Thermic fluid heater Diesel generator(DG) operations, Labeler, Filling machines, robotic arm, palletizer, Blender, HVAC, Sewage Treatment plant (STP), Oily Water Separator (OWS) etc. with minimum downtime. Ensure safe working environment with zero accidents. Optimization of breakdowns and keep equipment in optimal condition. Maintain inspection and preventive maintenance checklist and documentation up to date. Ensure contractors adhere to established standard maintenance procedures and JLA (Job Loss Analysis).Familiar with Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) expectations on the maintenance of plant facilities. Ensure Product Integrity and Controls compliance with company policies, guidelines, and framework. Candidate must be willing to work in any shifts.

What you will do
- Perform and manage preventive maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities.
- Ensure timely and effective repairs of breakdown in equipment and facilities with minimum downtime.
- Familiar with all equipment and facilities in the plants.
- Ensure Consumables & critical spares.
- Maintains all M&E records and documentation.
- Interface with contractors and suppliers.
- Manage in-house contractors on M&E works.
- Work with operation/warehouse to improve and enhance facilities in terms of operating efficiency and safety.
- Assist in the execution of small facilities projects in the plant.
- Take up any other M&E related issues / work assigned by Process and Mechanical Manager.
- Ensure critical equipment/devices are in serviceable condition and if found faulty/malfunction, minimize out of service period to ensure safe operation.
- Ensure custody transfer and process measuring equipment are calibrated per schedule.
Security, Safety, Health & Environment (SSHE)
- Ensures safe working environment with zero accidents.
- Ensure contractors adhere to established standard maintenance procedures and JLA (Job Loss Analysis).
- Familiar with Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) expectations on the maintenance of plant facilities.
- Participate in safety walks, inspection, near miss reporting, Loss Prevention Self-Assessment (LPSA) and LPS.
- Familiar with Work Control, Work Permit procedures, and Tier 1 Best Practices (T1BP).
- Participate in safety survey (e.g., Industrial Health survey etc.) as required by management to follow up on recommendation/action items for gaps closure.
- Ensure that all waste materials are disposed in compliance with Government Regulations and Company Environmental Policy.
- Ensure seamless taking over/ handover of plant equipment to Operations personnel to ensure equipment can be safely taken out of service/put back into service with proper documentation.

Product Integrity
- Familiar with Brand and Product Integrity management System (BPIMS)/ISO 9001:2000 guidelines and requirements, and brand integrity.
Controls
- Familiar with ExxonMobils System of Management Control - Basic Standards, Policies and Corporate Oil Measurement Practices e.g., Hydrocarbon Control Practices (HCP), Controls Integrity Management Systems (CIMS), etc.
- Familiar with HCP/CIMS/ Industrial Control System Requirements (ICSR)/IT Controls Manager (ITCM) requirements.
- Familiar with ICSR/ISRMP requirement.
- Ensure all measuring equipment are calibrated timely and in accordance with HCP requirements.
About You
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI/Engineering in Mechanical or electrical or instrumentation stream.
- Familiar with pumps, motors, air compressor, air dryer, thermic fluid heater, diesel generator(DG) operations, filling machines.
- Familiar with work permits process.
- Familiar with ISO 14000 & 45000 & its documentation.
- Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) troubleshooting skills and RCA analysis for Equipment Failures.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry, lubricant blending .
- Hands-on experience in preventive/ predictive maintenance & breakdown for plant like pumps, motors, air compressor, air dryer, thermic fluid heater ,substation, MCC, transformer, diesel generator(DG) operations, filling machines etc.
- Familiar with mean time before failure rate(MTBF), Mean time to repair(MTTR), Total productivity maintenance(TPM).
- Familiar with SAP plant maintenance module.
- Experience in handling third-party contractor manpower.
- Familiar with takeover and handover process for equipment s.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Experience in the Lubricant blending operations & maintenance.
- Knowledge of STP( sewage treatment plant) & OWS( oily water separator) operation.
- Knowledge of substation, transformer, actuators, flow control valve, solenoid valve, filter, regulator, lubricator unit.
- Knowledge of weighbridge testing.
- Familiar with calibration of Instruments like pressure & temperature transmitter tools.
