Job Description
- Revenue Recognition: Assist in the review of revenue and royalty accounting entries and ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks
- Royalties Calculation: Assist in preparation and review of stakeholder royalty payments, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Tax Management: Perform review of accounting activities related to government required taxes.
- National Reporting : Ensure timely and accurate completion of required national royalty payments and reporting.
- Audit Support : Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting / revenue and royalties management, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Skills:
- Experience with SAP GUI, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP-PRA, PAS, BlackLine or other revenue accounting systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially related to revenue and royalty accounting. Experience with US GAAP accounting standards is a plus.
- Ability to analyze financial data and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with governmental agencies, working/royalty interest owners, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial transactions.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
