Business Analyst

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This individual will bring a combination of business analysis expertise and hands-on experience in data engineering and data science projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to bridge the gap between business requirements and data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for data-driven projects.
• Analyze business needs and translate them into technical specifications for data engineering and data science teams.
• Lead the process of creating business cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Provide guidance on how data can be used to solve business problems and improve decision-making.
• Partner with Data Engineers to ensure that data pipelines are designed to meet the needs of the business.
• Work with Data Scientists to ensure that analytical models align with business objectives and goals.
• Perform data analysis, including interpreting large datasets, identifying trends, and presenting insights to stakeholders.
• Ensure that data governance and quality standards are followed across business and technical teams.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for data-driven systems, ensuring deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Assist in the development of reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented data solutions and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to data engineering, data science, and business analysis.

Skill & Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years of hands-on involvement in Data Engineering or Data Science projects.
• Strong experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into actionable insights for technical teams.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Hands-on experience working with data science teams on projects involving machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile team environment.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data privacy principles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
