Competitive Intelligence Analyst I

As a Competitive Intelligence Analyst, you will be working in one of the industrys leading competitive intelligence teams, supporting all lines of business within Expedia Group.

Your curiosity, ambition, and appetite for uncovering insights from competitors data will directly impact many areas of the business, translating into increased competitiveness and revenue opportunities for Expedia.

What Youll Do:

Streamline Data and Insights

• Create information flows to support business execution.

• Drive data collection, scheduling, and build quality control monitoring to create and enrich datasets of competitive insights.

• Develop systems and processes to monitor competitiveness through data sourced from external vendors.

• Design workflows and define tests to ensure internal stakeholders leverage accurate and relevant data efficiently.

• Fulfill ad-hoc requests for data and analysis.

Solving Problems and Communicating:

• Exhibit top-class business acumen, rigor, and a problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

• Demonstrate high intellectual curiosity and a focus on deriving actionable business insights.

• Effectively visualize complex data.

Establish Trust and Collaborative Working Relationships:

• Provide high-level daily customer service as the teams primary liaison to a large, multinational group of customers within Expedias lodging organization.

• Partner with internal data teams to identify and resolve data integrity issues.

Who You Are:

Experience

• Advanced knowledge of SQL is required.

• Experience with a programming language (eg, Python/R) is highly recommended.

• Strong system modeling skills (eg, UML) are highly recommended.

• Knowledge of data visualization tools (eg, Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in a numerical field (eg, Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science) is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

• Additional qualifications (eg, program management) are a plus.
